I should have one come in the mail tuesday, are they reliable filters? They're supposed to be rated for a 200g, I'm using it on my 55g.

Have a cascade 1000 going on for or almost 10 years. Been on a 55gal, 180,330, 160, now sitting on a 125. Still silent as the day I bought it.

I picked up a cascade 1200 a year ago used..silent and reliable love it gives allot of flow on my 65

This is great to hear. I am in the process of buying a 1500 for a 125 gallon. I have heard it's better to have two smaller ones better than one larger filter in case it were to malfunction you would have a back-up. Do you think that's overkill or better safe than sorry?
