Cascade 300

I recently acquired a bunch of filters and tanks. I am putting the Cascade 300 on my 75g. Since I have never worked with a Cascade filter before, does anyone have any suggestions on what to use inside or should I just go by manufactures recommendation?

Never used one before or know how their set up but some kind of mechanical and a biological insert and you should be good. Carbon unnecessary.

I always loved my cascade filters. Does yours still have the plastic bio block that sits in the waterfall? If you can find the carbon cartridges, those were built like a brick ****house as far as media cartridges go. I always reused those, cut them open and refilled them with whatever.
