Case of Extended Jaw

Hey Everyone

Last night I just notice that my black calvus has an extended jaw, I didnt notice it right away since calvuses has that long shaped face and mouth. I was reading info online about how to fix it, it says pull the cichlid's mouth and it should snap back into place. Has anyone ever tried this method?

I have done this several times on different cichlids. You just have to be gentle and pull real slow. On larger fish you can feel it pop. But on smaller fish its harder to tell if you got it or not. Make sure you are only pulling on the lower jaw.
