ok i have 6 cons in my 90g
there are 2 male cons and 4 femle cons
the biggest among all is the 4" black male con
now the strange thing is that on one end of the tank that is on the left side he goes around with one of the female black cons
and on the other side of the tank that is the left end he goes around with the female con
is this behavior just s normal and haanyone else who has seen this
not complaining but found it funny and thought i would post about my con

Females can only come across to the left side if they have a Male with them, and two Males can never be at the same side as one another. How do you get all the Females onto the left side of the tank?

Seriously though, from what I can decipher, sounds like you've got a pair.

its only one male that has two females at his side the other male is the smallest con and is just bullied by the other females and the other male
and no it is not a riddle just was a funny thing i have been observing for the past few days

about the pair thing i have a question
now with whom will the black con pair up the pink con or the black con might be a riddle i guess

are you saying your larger male is trying to hook up with all the females?

yeah
but it doesn't look like he is having any trouble at all LOL
before he used to just swim around with the pink female con but to my surprise he started swimming around with the other black con a few days ago

I've two pair (black) in a 50gal. (2m, 2f) one female is particularly colorful, lots of orange, blue, green, and yellow. For some reason between egg laying (even though she's paired-up) she'll go flirt with the other male. It's happened while the other male has had fry but never when she has her own. Also both pair have had fry at the same time. Never swapping though, well, not yet.

Promiscuous little buggers.
