Cast Acrylic Frame w/ Brace ?

I have a question about building a frame out of thick cast acrylic as a frame w/ brace for a tank. Most tank frame w/ brace I've seen are some sort of soft plastic. Have anyone done this before and how well does it keep the tank from bending or shattering? Any input or advice is highly appreciated...thanks!

I don't see why it wouldn't work. If an acrylic brace will hold an acrylic tank in, it should work for a glass tank as long as you can secure the acrylic to the glass.
