today i went on an epic adventure with my best friend.:headbang2

it all started out with three nice small bluegill. then i kept getting hung up on limbs under water so after a little swimming i was able to get out with minor cuts in the net. (damn those freshwater habitats).

then we caught a huge carp out of a local river. by far the best thing that my net has ever seen lol. after finding out that my ice chest was still at home, we had to let it go :(

:nilly:here are some pics of my adventure:nilly:

nice. looked like fun.

I threw a cast net for the first time earlier this week. Caught three small fish, a mudmiinow, some other minnow, and either a Black Drum or Croaker. All three were 2" max but I was pretty pleased for having never done it before. I'm going to have to get one someday.

Where do you buy these nets? ;) I want one and do people have to have a permit this? ;D
I got mine from Dicks but places like SportsAuthority and of course WalMart should have them as well as your independently owned bait and tackle shops....It's fun to do,I get my free feeders with my cast net when feel like going down to the creek.

the only one i saw at walmart was like 45 but thats in oklahoma. so idk. you can get them online. just google them. they range from 25-250 usually. mines a 6 foot one. i got mine a garage sale. they are fun to fish with. theres no bait or anything :) i used dog food. the people used it to feed the fish so it was perfect bait :)
