i brought 2 cats today there about 4inch long at the mo, they was labled as Sorubimichthys but im not shure, they are dark coloured and have long white whiskers and a slight red in the tail.

Yeah without pictures it will be almost impossible to idenitify correctly. And the only cat under that genus is Sorubimichthys planiceps. And if you bought two of those. I would gladly buy one. And you will want to PM necro or your local aquarium to find it a home for its adult size.

However. it literally just struck me. The cat you described sounds like Asian Red Tailed cat. Members of this family are often misidentified as members of the Pimelodidae family, because of the long whiskers.

Does it look like this?

sound like a hemibagrius wyckioides
the white whiskers are always a give away

but still post a pic away

and if the 2 are constantly fighting away then for sure its a wyckioides
and they will not coexist
