guys what are your thoughts on a 16'X8'X20''
lagoon. 4 sheets of 3/8 cell cast acrylic for the
base and 1/2''X 20'' for the walls. the best
i can figure is it would hold 1543.8 gallons
the stand would be 2X6 deck beam with 3/4
marine plywood top. my concern is water pressure
on the joints..
Ive worked with acrylic before but never for
holding in water

No idea about cat sharks, but the tank seems disproprtionatly low for the width/lenght, and would be pretty limited if you decide to change what you keep. I would be worried about using multiple sheets for the base, although the low height will put less pressure on them, maybe it would work if you used two layers for the base and had the joins overlapping.
