State of chaos
Every fishing trip I decide the "Catch of the Day," the most memorable fish caught by any anglers fishing with me. Since the year is almost over, I'm trying to decide the Catch Of The Year. Here are the competitors: 4lb Brown Bullhead
2-3lb Bullhead that got a hook stuck in my hand
8'' Western Stlantic Seabream (fought like heck)
30 pound plus Cownose Ray
12'' Striped Mojarra
2ft Barracuda
Gator Trout
12'' Bluefish
12'' Largemouth Bass

Time will tell... Sounds like all of them are memerable in some way. Do yourself a favor and write down the experience accosicated with each fish. Stash it away, and look back at it every now and again. As your fishing trips get more and more extravagant, fish measured in inches won't seem like much. But when you read your stories over in the future, you'll remember that fishing is about the size of the smile, not the size of the fish.

The only two that stand out as anything special would be the 4lb bullhead and "gator" trout, but what exactly are you calling a "gator"?
I believe a so-called "Gator" Trout is one that is over 1 foot-and-ahalf or 2 feet

The only special fish I see is the 4lb Bullhead. That is a MONSTER.

it has to be a minumum of five pounds to qualify for gator.

Never heard that term used with trout before, must be a local thing. What kinda trout was it?
Spotted Seatrout, it's a Drum in the same family as a Redfish and the Meagre.
According to our guide, a Gator is over 2ft.
Oh, on the same trip as the Seatrout and the Cuda, I accidentally foul-hooked a Pelican. :screwy:
