Catching a BGK.

So I've had one in my 125 for about two years now and it's about 8 to 9 inches. I want to put it in my 220 but how in the world do I catch. The 125 is fully scaped with live plants and I don't want to screw up anything trying to catch it.


As you can see from the pic it can hide anywhere and it will be difficult to catch. Any ideas. I added a clear tube today hoping it would eventually take residence in it.

no easy answer here, if you can not corner, can try to get in the open with food, but going to more than likes to have a make room to get, mines a little over 12" in a 180, I will have to remove decor to get him if i want to get him.

A long clear tube or bottle, put some of its favourite food in there, once it swims in cover the opening with a net and voila.

Thanks. That's why I don't want to remove stuff to catch. Took too long to the Tank the way it looks now.

I put tubes in for my African knives, herd them in there then take the whole thing out
