Well at my friends house they apparently have big catfish. The only one ever caught was 8 lbs and 2 ft about 6 years ago. The pond is polluted with apple orchard stuff..but there are sunfish still. There are also goldfish or carp there. Its kinda big but idk. Bass havent ever been caught. We have a ghetto Styrofoam boat for one person but shore fishing seems best.. a sunny could tip it haha. But we could use it to bring the bait out.

Thanks for help.. Ill post pics of anything I catch!

No advice on anything?

You will need to find out what they like best such as bluegill, hotdog, liver, shad, shinners, etc. Fish on bottom and top. Use as many poles as you can and fan the lake as much as you can to cover a large area, fish on top and bottom at the same time. Once you start catching fish you will know what they like. ;)

Only have 2-3 rods.. D: But we were gonna try one person with worms one with cat bat..
We are gonna try the bottom ofcourse

I was about 7 years old then when I caught one measuring at least 26 inches using a bamboo fishing pole and earthworms. My dad had to help me before it would pull me into the green water.lol Good times.:D

Ive tried store bought cat bait and it never workes. The only bait that worked was the bait that they normally had access to naturally. So minnows small frogs and sunfish. worms always catch small cats for me. This is just my personal experience.

I CATCH A TON OF BIG CATS IN THE HUDSON USING RAW SHRIMP. EASLY OUT FISHES WORMS N STINK BAIT BY AT LEAST A 6:1 RATIO, AND THE CATS THAT TOOK THE SHRIMP WHER SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER

Use a slip floater setup and fish around 2-3 feet off the bottom with whatever bait you have had good results with. Best time is right after dark, or very early in the morning.
