Normally, muscovy ducks (Cairina moschata) are native to South American, but here, in South Florida, they are all over. They have become invasive species. I am not sure how much ecological damage they do, but they are awfully cute. These ducks are pretty fat, I have never seen them fly. I don't they can anymore. They are totally domestic now. We caught this cute little guy near one of the Hollywood canals.
