Has anybody ever caught fish from a pond or lake and then fed the fish fillets to their rays or other fish? I currently feed mine Frozen tilapia from the store, but I am always fishing and just wondered if I were to catch some bluegills and fillet them, could I feed that to my ray?

Thanks,

Beau

Ever considered getting an above ground pool kit and turning it into like a pond but for breeding those fish you mentioned? You could even fish out of it :D. I've always thought something like that would be fun to do if you could get a pool or pond or whatever you go with that's big enough to support a breeding population along with you fishing for them occasionally.

What if you freeze the fillets before feeding? That should kill any parasites right? I'm actually interested In this question because I'm always fishing for sunfish and such.

I culture and feed red wiggler worms (AKA composting worms). They're safe, easy to culture, nutritious and reproduce rapidly (especially in warm weather) on kitchen veggie, fruit and paper scraps. I have a bin in my fishroom...

Do you have any pictures or specifics on how to start this??
