I've heard it several times that you can catch pbass in Florida.
Where so? Any places near the Orlando area? How exactly do you catch them? worm and hook? Thanks.

From what I understand they can't live very far North past Miami. There are several sites offering peacock bass fishing guides which I plan to take advantage of later this year hopefully. I would imagine you'd fish for them like you would typical bass, lures probably would be your best bet. I'm sure some other members on here would be able to lend more information.

Wow, thanks for the quick replies, I may go fishing for them this summer.
A few more questions, whats sites can I get them from under 50$?
And how big do these guys get? can They live in a 190 gal. for life??
Once again, thanks very much. Great forum.

lunk is exactly right and you can also use live bait(minnows/shiners). the bass are stocked in the canals in the miami area. you can rent a small john boat and have a pretty good time.

there are a crap load in my backyard :grinno:

do you think i will be able to catch them in the canals and retention ponds in estero? i will be down there in june visiting family.

don't know where estero is
