Catching Redbreasted sunfish

Where can i catch redbreast sunfish in NJ at this time of year? i usually scoop a net in leaf piles on the shores of lakes.

Best places for redbreasted sunfish are normally nice clean rivers and creaks, preferrably rocky sand or bottom. I've never caught one in a lake or pond. Just use worms on a small hook and float. That's how I got mine. Good luck.
