Catching sharks off peir

Any advice on getting sharks of any size off the peir I'm in socal and going to Huntington beach Saturday and have cuaght shark in the past but just wanna hear your guys advice

Go to Dana Point, I caught Leopard Shark there every year (around this time or late in May after 6PM) size range from 15 inches up to 24 inches. I use small fish that I bought from super market or from bait shop.

I've caught tons of leopard sharks and smoothhounds using thawed squid I bought from asian markets. I let the squids get nice and warm (and smelly) in the evening before a night of fishing. If you plan on keeping any be aware that CA has size and catch limits on these sharks. Daily Bag limits on leopards is 3 and they must be between 22" and 36". Bag limits on smoothhounds is 10 with no size limits.

Sorry I thought y'all meant real sharks. Guys on our local piers have landed 500lb+ hammers, tigers and makos!
