I have a ray question. I am going to need to move mine soon into the large tank. How can i catch them with out getting there tails caught in the net? how do you catch your rays?

what size is ur ray?

I've heard that you drain the water until the level is low. Put a towel on the substrate bed and then lure or somehow get him to go onto it. Then you just pick up the towel and carry him over before a freak accident occurs. Preserve his tail and his slime coat

2 rays about 5'' I am holding onto for a friend and 3 rays between 10-13''

any other ideas?

get a laundry basket (one with holes in it) and pull them out with that, just push them inside of it and move them into a rubber made or directly into the other tank

this work really well, or I have not had a problem using a big enough net. one that you use for fishing.

I've use plastic containers as well, quick and easy. Also used extra large thick fish bags and convince large rays to go inside. Many safe ways.

I use the large bag method as well.
