I'm going on holiday in two weeks, and gonna do some diving, was wondering what the laws are like regarding bringing fish back through the airport etc...

Anyone have info regarding this I'd be very grateful.

i would think if you're not going out of the country it would be okay.
yea just check local laws(of course)

Ah the fish in my country (canal/river fish) are all coldwater pike, bream tench and stuff like that.

I'm going to Ecuador in mid March, I know that knifes, wolf fish, terrors, p-bass, arro's piranha and plecs are swimming around in the wild out there..

I would love to have a fish in my aquarium that I caught myself. So was wondering if I'd be able to bring one or two home? obviously nothing too big, maybe just some fry or something?

I can imagine I'd have to pay some sort of tax, but those guys are exporting fish on a daily basis, so must be a way people can catch them self?

i have been wondering about this too. would be very interesting.

there are people on this forum that go on regular collecting trips. if you want to, you can go with them. i think its about $2000, plus food and whatever else (food is cheap down there:naughty:)

Get on the DEFA website, I read something about it when I was reading the cold water regs... They are idiots... you prob need a tropical import license, but that shouldnt be too hard to get.

King nice one for that info! I'll check it all out now :)

I noticed your new project in DIY section, if it's in London and not Scotland, then just let me know if you need a hand and I'll provide two :)
