So i found a american dagger moth and would like to try to keep it. I tryed looking up information on them but couldnt find much on them. Maybe someone on here could tell me things they eat what kind of habitat they need any info on them would be great.

This species catepilliars eat leaves from alders, ashes, birches, elms, hickories, maples, oaks, poplars, walnuts, willows and other deciduous trees.

dang vicous got knowledge on everything...
from everthing i have read as far as space a medium/large plastic terr container should work. you want to make sure the moth has enough space to expand and dry its wings when it emerges from its cocoon...

Do people keep moths like they do butterflies? Other than atlas moths, people seem rarely interested. I wanted to try keeping some Tyria jacobaeae but I wouldn't have a clue how, and to be honest, moth populations are probably declining enough without me picking a few lol.
