I had quiet the adventure on Saturday morning about 5:30. while I was sleeping something woke me up like the smell of rotting fish. so i wandered around and finally noticed that all the fish were at the top of the tank in my 125. so i turned on the lights and noticed that there was chunks of half eaten food floating around. and the culprit my 14 inch RTCXTSN!!! I know the ammonia was high as my 2 10 inch tinfoil barbs flipped upside down and were gasping for air. so after a 90% water change the ammonia is down to 1 ppm!!!!!!!! did a water change later that day and got it down to .25 PPM.

What did you feed the RTCxTSN? They are known to puke if over-fed. I would say you did the right thing tho. Big water changes immediately. Good work.

didn't lose any fish....
and i fed him a couple fish fillets. no more that his usual food.

i wonder what the ammonia reading was before the WC im thinking 6-7+PPM range!!

If that was the case, then you should do some work on your Biological Filtration, especially with those bigger cats. The level should always be at Zero.
