All of my favorite catfish pics(of mine): Mods- please do not move to photo lounge because i have added interesting(to me) tidbits in some of the fish and i would llike to here some people's opinion that know lots about cats and may not visit the photo lounge
Lima shovelnose(sorubim lima) I've been looking at various lima pictures, and to be honest with you, i think there's a few different species all classified as sorubum lima. Some have spots around them, some don'e. Some have broader "shovels" (often those that have spots), some don't. This may account for the fact that breeding limas in captivity has not been acheived to my knowledge.
Tiger Shovelnose (psedoplatystoma fasciatum). Apparently ichtyologists have divided the three known species into eight with the varying bone structures.
Common pleco (hypostomus sp. and other "hypos").
This guy was a rescue but died shortly after i got after getting stuck between a rock and a peice of driftwood
This guy is 17'', also a rescue and still alive. Currently around the 15 to 17'' mark, and i think stunted
(rescued from a 30 gal tall
)
Marbled pim(leirus marmatotus, i think)
Attatchments in order of appearance:
TSN (not sure wich pseodoplatystoma with the whole species dividing up)
Many more pics coming!
