catfish chasing cichlid will cichlid be okay????

my 8 inch Asian upside down catfish chased my 6-7 inch pearsei cichlid well now the pearsei cichlids face is a little blackish the catfish was in there for 2 days but i moved it yesterday he is staying near the bottom of the tank do you think he will recover soon because i don't want to worry about about him on Christmas he is not hurt just stressed he is in a 65 gallon tank.​
 
If the cichlid is just stressed out, should be recovered by Christmas. Might want to make sure nothing else is contributing to the bottom sitting. I'd do an extra water change and monitor the cichlid for further problems.

ok thanks i willo do a water change sometime today and test the water thanks
 
i moved the catfish to my 75 gallon and on Christmas i am getting a 40-55 gallon tank to put the Asian upside down catfish in so he will be in a 40-55 gallon tank alone why would i let the catfish murder the pearsei I'm not that bad
