Ok so my sun cat which ive had for about 8 years now just recently passed. It's unfortunate and i will miss him dearly. Heres the good news, MY 55 NEEDS A NEW CATFISH! i want to be able to keep it in the 55 its whole life so give me some ideas. I may just get a new sun cat but id rather try something new.

you cant keep a healthy well fed suncat in a 55 for life, they reach up to 18 inches, ive had mine for about a year and a half, and its grown from 3 inches to 8-9inches since i got it
I would get a pictus or 3 (they like being in groups). 
They don't get very big, they are gorgeous and they are really active.

I love mine. We've had him probably 8 months and he's growing nicely. Not a fast grower either. His name is Old Gus. Really cute faces, i think.
they do grow really slow i had mine for as long as i can remember and he never really got that big just a little over 8 inches i may just get another but i want to try something new
