CATFISH FOR 240 (8-2-2-ft)

Pretty much what the title says, What do you think a good catfish for a 240 would be for life.

The fish would be going in with an oscar, silver arowana, occelaris, jag, and maybe a clown knife.

I also want the fish to readily accept pellet food, and be able to compete for food with the other fish.

Also i want the fish to be active and swim around.

Anybody got any ideas?

limas a good choice.
but so are so many more. it really depends on your personal liking. some will argue that RTCs and TSNs can live in there, but IMO, and IME they really cant. could do a tigrinus or marble...

TTT Right know i have a lima thats about seven inches. The lima would only go in the 240 if i can train it to eat some kind of pellet food.

Im looking for the biggest cat that i can house in the 240.

would an iridescent shark work?

No, ID sharks fair better in much larger tanks. In a 240 they will smash their snouts when scared.

TTT So i cant even cut it close with the iridescent shark? I really want one.

Has anybody else had experience with an iridescent shark in a 240(8-2-2), or close to a 240.


AlSO, KEEP THE CATfISH IDEAS FOR THE 240 COMING.

Maybe Leiarius pictus, Brachyplatystoma tigrinum would look great, Brachyplatystoma juruense, or alot of other Pimelodidaes.
