Catfish for 260

Any ideas on a catfish that could live in a 260 (84x30" footprint) for life? It'll be sharing the tank with peacock bass, i'm looking for something that will get to a good size but not have to be upgraded in the future.

Looked into them and apparently they can rip chunks out of other fish? Thanks for the suggestion but think i'll give them a miss just incase!

irwini or niger cats gentle giants they won't touch your bass

A niger cat is a 4' catfish, so not a niger, imo. Plus they grow super fast as well. When I think nigers, I think 1,000 gallons.

An irwini for life? I'd probably not do that (but that's me), however I'm sure people have done it with good housekeeping. The 30" width might work if it's not blocked off too much with decor. I love 'em both, but in that tank, the irwini is a much better choice.

Irwini could be a good call but i've read they are really slow growers and with my bass being 11-12" already i'd want something I could grow out a bit faster in another tank.

Underappreciated, not well known cats that are different from much of what's out there. Powerful, muscular, and beautiful.
