  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Spotted pictus catfish or porthole catfish :D

Don't get spotted pictus and 4-line pictus mixed up :)
Spotted get around 5 inches max, 4-lines around 1 foot

I was thinking the spotted pictus, until i read online that since they don't have scales they are prone to stuff like ick and die easily in tanks if you don't check you tank maintenance every day. I plan on doing atleast 20% water changes every week, but "if" i would happen to miss a week do you think it would hurt him?

lol, I have never been able to keep a Spotted Pictus alive for more than a few weeks. Always would get ick.

Stripped Raphael - if you don't mind a cat that hides all the time. Or a Synodontis.

Oh really? I have been keeping spotted pictus for over a year, only time they got ich was when I accidently bought 1 with it. Anywho, I;ve been on vacation and skipped a couple weeks with no water changes, no problems. They aren't THAT sensitive. Just to the ick medications. (RIP my first 3 5" spotted pictus, all got wiped out while I was at school from meds)

zamora catfish is something i am looking at for my 75g planted set up.

Auchenipterichthys coracoideus

from what i gather they are a shoaler and should be kept in a group of 3 or more. And they get around 5".
