anyone know of any good catfish species that would work well in an outdoor pond all year round, the main section of the pond is only about 200g (but is actually 300g all together) and house native caught sunfish and bluegill. Its the winters that worry me it does get fairly cold but never freezes.

Channels are to big, but could be a snack if they got to big.

Bullheads woulds be your best bet.

bullheads would be perfect, channel cats would get WAY too big.

Bullheads all the way in NC weather.

Snookn21 (vendor) has bullheads for sale, also they pop up in LFS occasionally.

put a hook worm and sinker on a fishing pole and go fishing.

i got a 12" yellow bullhead from snookn21 recently. beautiful fish, marbled yellow/brown. he has some listed now. would be a perfect choice for your pond.
