Catfish Health Problems...

I need to setup a catfish hospital tank, but have no idea how to do it. I've never setup a hospital tank before, let alone one for a catfish. I have a few bullheads, each less than 3 inches. One has developed what looks like fin rot, with reddening of the fins. I am not sure of what medicine to use to cure him either, as he is scaleless and I don't know if catfish take the common medication offered in pet stores.

Can someone give me a recommendation as to what to give a catfish for finrot? A fellow catfish died a few weeks ago of some sort of skin disease in which what appeared to be transparent cotton-like slime took over his tail.

Any advice is appreciated.

id say u have to go to a credible fish shop and ask them for any catfish medicine readily available in most shops. with bacterial infections you should add rock salt combined with raising the temperature to higher levels. in this way, recovery is encouraged.
