I'll try to explain this the best I can. I've seen this happen a couple times with my giraffe cat, but he just did it like 3 or 4 times in a row, and I'm curious.. He does this thing where he looks like he's holding his breath.. His mouth will suck in, and he won't breath for a good minute or 2. Then he does this freakout sneezing motion, and is done... He's completely coherant while doing so; eyes move around, floats around sometimes, it's just weird.. Anybody seen this before, I'm not a big catfish buff

Never had that with a catfish, but my weather loach will hold his break for a couple minutes, then swim like normal. He does this all the time.

my yarrelli does this for about 5 seconds or so when i walk by the tank, it's as if he's going into stealth mode. then picks up breathing again. no sneeze like described but sometimes he does sneeze, thing it's to clear the gills or debris.
