I’d have to agree with GiantFishKeeper101 on the second fish. It looks a lot like my tsn x niger hybrid I got from Tom Maguire Tom Maguire .

AFAIK, which is not that far, it is the catfish trait that they have no scales. I am not aware of any catfish having any scales. It could be my ignorance.

I don't know what to call it. But you can literally pull it off from the skin like scales. I tested on my previous O. niger like scrape that scales a bit. It doesn't come off, i wouldn't hurt my fish, just intrigue about it but yes, they are like scales.

I'm guessing they are more like Torpedo Scad or a Tuna lateral scales, those are sharp. Some carp are scaleless, only have scales on the lateral lines.

They are bony scutes.
