It may have been shipped from and/or bred in Asia but, this cat is from Africa. It's a Synodontis cat and te markings look to make it a S. eupterus. Grows to about 6". Nice pickup.

Yep, I was focusing on pattern since this cat's pattern is unusual for Synodontidae and is somewhat shared by only 3 other species.

I know colors can vary enormously by age, lighting, stress, season, region, etc. I learned one or two things after doing this for over 40 years.
