Catfish ID?

ill try to get a pic but its really hard with just a cell phone.

anyway, hes 4" and has grown an inch in less than a month at the lfs. i picked him up today.

i would assume its a pangasius species. the body looks almost exactly like a typical irridescent shark but the head narrows and the eyes are smaller. he was sold to me as a hong kong cat.

any ideas on the species?

well ive been looking around and i think its a Pangasius hypophthalmus. how common are these guys and whats the average cost?

without a photo, there is very little way to ID a fish. see what you can get photo wise.

alright, i'll have to net him to get some pics. but remember how i said he had small eyes? well that was in low light and his face is very dark, i got the flashlight out this morning and actually, he has no eye!?!?!?!?!?!?!

alright, heres some pics ya pac a wolves.

hes so dark in the face that its hard to see any detail, i even had a clamp lamp right in his face
if you can't tell he has a very large mouth that is actually hinged back a bit, unlike other pangasius i have seen.
in the last pick you can see how narrow his head gets as well.

well the lfs owner just told me he is a regular irridescent shark with a mutation or was mauled when little.
what do you guys think?

with those fins sticking up it looks like those fish that swim under sharks but i know its not

Looks like a blind ID Shark...I've actually seen some lfs labeling ID Sharks as Hong Kong Cats.
