im looking for a catfish that would be happy in a 180g. I want to avoid "shovelnose" species just because my last one died from runnin into glass. So what else could i put in there, Pics would be appreciated, id also like to have a couple tankmates as well

holy crap that was quick....The dim are 6x2x2. i would want something that would fill alot of the tank if that makes sense...my favorite catfish is a RTC so anything similiar in body structure to that would be awesome. I would want something bit bigger then a JAg, even tho i considered getting one! thanks fo rthe replies
An RTC would be happy in there for around a year and a half... possibly 2 if you wanted to get one. Just be prepared to put it in something bigger later... like a huge tank or a pond
yea i know a RTC would be happy in there for awhile, but i cant guarantee ill have a place to keep him when he gets too big, Which is unfortunate cuz yall have some awesome RTC's !!
If your not sure what you'd do with it once it gets bigger... I applaud you on being smart enough to not get one

Smart moveyea, i mean if i knew i could get rid of him to a good home i would, but i had a hard nuff time getting rid of a 8 inch caribe, let alone a 20in cat. But im still interested in finding a cat for my 180, so any suggestions would be cool
Go to Planetcatfish.com and run a search on there .. they let you choose the min size and max sizes that you want... will run up a whole list of what you can put in the tank ...
