hey guys...my family owns a large pond that was previously used as a tilapia pond...now theres nothing in there except for a few minnows and frogs...i think theres a few big-ish tilapia still in there that we missed...im just not sure, the pond is wide but shallow...its about 25x30 feet, and the depth is about 3-5 feet deep...

now that almost no one uses it anymore,i want to use it as a growout tank for my catfish...do u think its possible?

the pond was just dug out with shovels....no concrete..just mud

anyone want to post their opinion?

Since you live in the tropics i think it should be quite fine as long asyou can keep track of them and test the water before hand to make sure the water peramiters are correct and then acclimate your fish to the pond. If the water isn't at the clarity you want it at get a filter or make a diy filter to clean the pond of loose particles. good luck.:)

alright man.....btw i dont mind that i cant see him...just want him to GROW up to big-ish size...
