Hi,

Any of you guys know of a catfish thats in the 4-6 inch max size range? Also, something kinda active would be cool.

I was thinking pictus cats but they seem a little too hyper for what I want. Do they ever lounge around or are they constantly moving? I was thinking of Bumble bee cats, but theres a few species of themm, the few I know are small like 2 inches max, but one I think gets to 3-4 inch.

What would you recommend me? Thx

I have 2 pictus and they vary between activity. Im sure i have a male and a female. The male has not stopped moving since i got him and the female rests and guards her spot.As for the south america bumblebee, Microglanis iheringi, i got mine at 1/2in about a month ago and its 1in now.. but will only get 2 inches total and hes active during the day which i think is uncommon but i have a dimmer tank.

To find more catfish that size look up South American Bumblebee, on that page fish the scale where it show the size and right after the scale theres gonna be a thing that says something like"find species the same size", click near and it will give you all the catfish in ur range.

I asked this same question a week ago and here the link
