Catfish Keepers Please help.:(

I recently made a thread asking about my TSNxLei cos one of his Barbels/whiskers broke i was told it would fall off and grow back but it broke in two places on the same barbel and only one piece of it fell off and i can see that its startin to grow back on the broken bit what should i do? Should i remove the barbel and wait for it to grow back properly? I want him to look good He is a Stunner but he got beat up his first night in the tank . He is eating fine. Please Any advice would be Much appreciated.

in my personal opinion, the same thing happened to my shovelnose i just left it alone and it healed perfectly by its self within about a month

But you see my fish broke it in two places and 1 of the places fell off and theres a little bit growing back on the bit that's left

i know, but i would seriously advise against cutting it yourself, u have no idea the types of infections you could be transmitting to him

in my experience multiple offshoots grow back thinner and weaker than an ordinary barbel and will usually break off after a while (might be months) and then it grows back properly.
