Ok I was web surfing and came across this interesting story from 2004, Maybe it's been posted a million times but I've never seen it before and your getting it again 
"Bill Driver, a resident in the Sandalwood Lakes, Kansas area saw a ball bouncing around in a pond; when he went to investigate, it proved to be a flathead catfish which had obviously tried to swallow a child's ball. The ball had then became stuck in its mouth. The fish was totally exhausted from trying futilely to dive - unable because the ball always brought him back up to the surface. The man tried unsuccessfully numerous times to dislodge the ball. Finally, his wife cut it in order to deflate it. This released the catfish."
