is there any catfish that have a maximum length of around 18 inches? or do they all get huge eventually? i know there's some tiny cats but what about somewhere between?

all depends on what kind of cats you want. if u want SA there's the perruno that will get 24" but takes a while to get there, the lima shovelnose, plecos, and there are tons more. if u'r lookin asian i'm about to go pick up my new sun cat that'll max out around 18" or so.
