I've been nostalgic lately and wanting to set up my 55 gallon molly tank again. I did it wrong the first time having completely fresh water. I know mollies need brackish so I will be committing to a brackish tank. I had cories before and I've heard they don't like salt so I'm wondering what type of catfish I could have in a brackish 55 for life? I know about the bull shark cats but they get too big. If there aren't any ideal cats then what other bottom feeder could I put in there? Thanks in advance :)

I've kept and bred mollies for years and never added salt to their water. Salt isn't necessary if your water is hard and alkaline.

columbian sharks thrive in brackish water

I tried keeping my mollies in fresh but they didn't thrive in it. Besides, I think I'd like a challenge doing a brack tank :) and I think I was thinking of columbian sharks lol they have so many different names. They get too large for me though. Any bottom dwellers that survive in brackish would be good if I could find them

I thought about gobies but didn't know if they get too big that they might eat the mollies. I was thinking maybe a small eel might do..
