catfish under attack

hi all, i am new to this forum. i have a RTC that is about 14" and 8 STs from 6" to 12".
after 2 days of introducing my RTC into the 5x2x2ft tank, it got attacked and it lost its whiskers and some exposed wounds. i am very shocked that the STs attack it. i always tot that they could co-exist. can anyone advice me on what to do? thanks for reading

I got my RTC last week. The first night I noticed some minor fin damage. The second night it increased. I think it took the other fish in the tank a while to get used to just a voracious eater and active fish. It's less than a week later and he's in better shape then the day I got him.

LOL. That is why they use ST.

they should get used to each other after a little while, but you might want to keep an eye on the ST's closer to 6 inches, they could easily become a midnight snack. when my RTC was 18 inches he ate a 12 inch clown knife.
