I have a 13-14" Blue Channel Catfish. He is currently in a quarantine tank with a Midas Cichlid. At first they did a lot of body slamming and it appeared he latched on his face as the Midas' nose looked horrible, but the catfish looks even worse. They still have another week to go before they are put in a final tank but I am afraid he will not survive. I try to feed him and he just ignores it. So I guess to sum it up is. Will he survive? How do I get him to eat? Is there anything I can do to stop the Midas from attacking him? There are a few decorations in the tank for the catfish but everything gets knocked over or pulled out etc.

How big is the tank? I would separate them in to different tanks if it was me.

Just dump one in the main tank. Just watch them close day by day if you see something odd then treat. If you catch ich or anything atnthe first sign you can kick its but fast and easy.

Right now they are in a 55 temparily. My LFS said it was fine as long as long as it is not long term. I don't really want to put them in the main tank because I have some very expensive fish in there and do not wish to even take a chance with it.
