Catfish with discus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yes that would work. anything that stays small and isnt going to bother them since they are very shy fish.

I don't think that a pictus will bother discus, but be prepared for a manic fish.

We had one in our discus tank till we lost it to a heater malfunction.
My 17 yr old took one look at it when we got it and nicknamed it crackhead. :nilly:

Yup....It all boils down to your discus. Most of the people on these forums are smart enough to purchase good, healthy discus from private breeders. If you have a healthy, outgoing discus, you aren't going to have any problems. I had a Synodontis Eupturus with mine (Until it reached about 7"). I decided to remove the cat, just because I was uncomfortable with it....I don't think the discus minded it.

i have mine with a tsn and pictus lol and he seems fine but the tsn and pictus are goin to be removed into another tank

I put 2 in a customers tank with there discus and they are fine, it is a 120g tank but still, them and the clowns are always chasing each other.

I've seen Plecos sucking on Discus slime so be careful about the size, I got me a small one and he's doing fine with my Discus.
