Catfish with tanganikan

Lake Tanganyika has a Ph of between 8-9 so to keep a fish from South America which is at the other end of the scale regarding Ph would be very wrong imo.Megladoras grow to 24" plus also and although very peaceful and retiring they will eat small fishes during the night once they hit 20cm or so.
There are other species of cats in Lake Tanganyika such as many smaller Bagrid sp,these are Phyllonemus typus and lophiobagrus species,both cats are small as adults but tank mates should be chosen carefully as they have a large mouth in relation to their rather small body size,many shell dwellers would become nothing more than a snack.
