catfish wont stop hiding

my Ottocinclus affinis is hanging out in the back. he was behind the barrel ornament but i moved it to the front so he can hide in it and we could see him but hes still in the back. what should I do?
he also hasnt touched lettuce or algae wafers. luckily theres enough diatom algae to go around :p
 
Your fish probably just needs time to settle in.

One of my four-lined pims really likes to hide. If there is any light in the room, it hides in a cave. I only know he leaves his cave, because I see him dart for cover when I turn on the lights. He won't eat with the lights on. I turn the lights off in my room, feel my way to the aquarium, and drop in carnivore pellets. He has been in the 75 for a couple of months and doesn't look skinny, so he must be eating. When he was in the Q-tank, I used to be able to see him eat. I think he behaved differently in the Q-tank, because the Q-tanks room was never completely dark(he had no choice but to put up with a little light).
