Im thinking getting a tigrinius catfish, i was offered one at 8-10 inches with streamers for $150. anybody kept one before? are they hardy fish? and how big do they usually get?

get it, you wont regret it.

like all fish, just keep the water in good condition. can be trained to feed on anything easily, wont grow as big as a TSN. i think they are pretty hardy fish especially when it gets past 4 inches.

I have a 'regular" tiger shovelnose- but I have looked up oin line info about the tigrinus- they are gorgeous, and seem to be pretty hardy- I think most shovelnose get very big, so you might want to prepare yourself for that! At 10 inches it's still a little baby-
