There is a lot of info on fish farming on the internet. Have you researched it? I don't qualify but I'd think the type of catfish and the kind of farming (vats, natural lakes, aquaponics, etc.) are crucial to such decisions.
Needless to say toxin-free water and plenty of feed are needed. Here in the US farmers buy commercial feed by tons but it is tricky - there is a strong and clear correlation between fish food and price. With cheap and low-quality feeds one may get poor results - polluted water from poor digestion and poor growth. With expensive and superbly performing feeds, a farmer may easily go belly up. You can't feed your farm fish Hikari or NLS etc.
Plus, the feed needs to comply with an agricultural standards for the fish to be safe and marketable for human consumption. Same with medications if any need to be applied.
