Catish ID labeled marble shovelnose

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks like it was labeled right to me
...tsnxlei...tsnxmarble...tsnxmarmoratus...all the same thing. Being hybrids, almost every one looks a bit different for head shapes/patterns.

Very nice. The mouth didn't look as shovelish as I am used to seeing which is why I was not sure

I agree ur specimens mouth is a bit round but these hybrids sometimes favor the marble side or the tsn side so its fairly common to see them like this. I can see the tsn in him...

Agree with the ID. Would be better to see a side shot, first, to make absolute sure (on my part) and, second, to settle if it looks "a bit" different from the average.

Wed likely has a far more refined eye as I usually fail to see significant enough differences in hybrids to ascribe them to the maternal or paternal side. But then Wed sleeps with his fishes :)

Here are more pics and one can assess some variability in the looks keeping in mind the coloration changes rather strongly with age http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/f...4171-TSNxLei-I-think-Could-it-be-P-corruscans
