Caught 5 last night

Went road cruising for a bit last night. Nothing too exciting but we did get 5 snakes. 2 Cottonmouths, a Pygmy rattler, and 2 still squirming but freshly run over canebrake rattlers. I went with a buddy who just got his permit and was wanting to get some canebrakes so it sucks that both of them we saw were DOR. Anyways, it was a fun trip and productive considering this was all in a quarter tank of gas.

Sucks about the canebrakes. The only Timber Rattler Iv ever seen out here had just been run over not even 5 min before I got to it. Someone drove into the middle of the road just to run over the poor guy.

This is one of the DOR canebrakes, this one was very dark for this area. The other one we saw was peach colored and gorgeous. About the same size. I did not get a photo of it though.

Caught jack **** tonight. It was a complete bust all we saw were southern toads.
