Maybe a white bass or white perch. I know the stripe rule but whenever I catch them I can never tell even using it.

Looks like a juvenile striped bass kind off hard to tell from those pics. Here's a pic of larger striped bass.

I emailed NJ fish and game. They said it is most likely a white perch due to mouth size. First one I know of from any of my friends that we caught out of this pond.

I cant really tell by the picture, but is it a whitefish of some kind? normally you can tell it has an adipose fin behind the dorsal fin, but that fin is just a blur on my screen. it looks like its too pointed to be an adipose.

White perch, I've caught baby stripers, definitely a perch. I heard they're good eating but I never catch any big enough to warrant a fillet job.

Looks like small white bass since white perch do not have any stripes at all.
