you know I remember about 10 years ago we had hundreds and hundreds of snakeheads five or six different species, in the tanks at the petland I used to manage They sold good and were very nice looking fish. Then i heard they were banned its really sad that the government hangs the many for the sins of a few. Don't get me wrong I know these fish can and have caused big issues when released into the wild. I just have to say its sad that we've gotten to this point with captive fish. Irresponsible owners there is no excuse never at anytime did we refuse to take unwanted fish, we might not offer money but policy was to always take then back.

I saw this, I think Detroit has FAR bigger problems to deal with...

there aren't any problems greater than our environmental damage. of course if we just continue on like a bunch of animals we will solve it by dieing off, so...
I just hope I'm not around when it all collapses.

I hate how crazy they make them sound... They cant move worth crap on land. They just flip around. Maybe in two hours they could go 30 ft if they could manage to stay in one direction. Look up videos of them out of water... They dont do too well... As for the aggression they are spot on. Wish I had one but they are banned from my province :(

always knew that petstation was a shady shop

Never knew snakeheads were illegal here in Michigan... Sounds kind of stupid, aren't they a tropical fish, not temperate? I knew walking cats were illegal, never quite knew why up here in the north though...
